SOCIAL MEDIA
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Questions about social media?
We’ve got answers.
Straightforward answers to common questions about social media strategy, content, platforms, consistency, engagement, and how our social media management services works for wedding prs.
Do I really need a social media manager for my wedding business?
It depends. Not every business needs a social media manager, and outsourcing simply for the sake of outsourcing does not always make sense.
As a business owner, you already wear a lot of hats. Your time is usually best spent on the parts of the business that help it grow, require your expertise, or simply cannot be done by anyone else. If creating, writing, scheduling, and managing social media is taking hours away from those higher-priority tasks, outsourcing can be a smart investment.
A social media manager can also help when consistency keeps falling to the bottom of your to-do list, you are unsure what to post, or you simply do not want social media taking up so much mental space.
The goal is not to outsource because you are supposed to. It is to decide whether having someone else handle social media gives you back enough time, consistency, and peace of mind to make it worthwhile.
What does social media management include?
Social media management can include everything from content planning and caption writing to scheduling, posting, engagement, analytics, and more. Every company structures its services a little differently, which is why it is important to understand exactly what is included before hiring someone.
At AGA Business Solutions, every social media management package includes content planning, image curation, caption writing, post optimization, scheduling, vendor tagging, and collaborations. What varies between packages is the type of content we create, such as image posts, reels, carousels, and educational content.
You can view our full package details here to compare the options and see exactly what is included in each one.
Do you specialize in social media for wedding professionals?
Yes. AGA Business Solutions specializes in working with wedding professionals, and that experience shapes the way we approach social media.
We understand that wedding businesses are highly visual, relationship-driven, and often rely heavily on referrals, vendor connections, and a strong brand presence. We also know that social media usually works best as one part of a bigger marketing strategy, not the whole thing.
Because we work in the wedding industry, we already understand how important things like vendor tagging, collaborations, location visibility, cohesive imagery, and industry-specific messaging can be.
That means you do not have to spend a lot of time explaining how your business works. We already understand the industry and can focus on creating content that fits your brand and supports your goals.
How much does social media management cost?
Social media management pricing can vary widely depending on how much content is being created, how many platforms are included, and how hands-on the service is. For small businesses, professional social media management commonly ranges from around $500 to $3,000 or more per month.
At AGA Business Solutions, our social media management packages start at just $249 per month.
We are able to keep our pricing affordable because we have created a highly streamlined process that allows us to work efficiently without sacrificing the quality, strategy, or attention to detail
Every package includes content planning, image curation, caption writing, optimization, scheduling, vendor tagging, and collaborations. What varies between packages is the amount and type of content we create.

How do I know when it is time to hire a social media manager?
It may be time to outsource your social media when managing it starts pulling too much time, energy, or attention away from the parts of your business that need you most.
Some common signs are that you are posting inconsistently, constantly scrambling for content, putting social media off until the last minute, or spending hours creating posts that could be handled more efficiently by someone else.
It can also make sense to outsource when your business has grown to the point where your time is simply more valuable elsewhere. If you are choosing between serving clients, building relationships, improving your systems, or spending another two hours figuring out what to post, that is usually a pretty good clue.
The right time to outsource is not when you feel like you should. It is when handing it off would give you more time, consistency, and mental space to focus on running and growing your business.
What if I hate social media?
You are definitely not alone. A lot of business owners know they need a social media presence, but that does not mean they enjoy creating content, keeping up with trends, or spending more time online.
The good news is, you do not have to love social media for it to support your business. You also do not need to become an influencer, post constantly, or make social media the center of your marketing strategy.
For most wedding professionals, the goal is much simpler: stay visible, stay consistent, showcase your work, and give potential clients a professional, trustworthy place to learn more about your brand.
If social media feels like a chore you are constantly avoiding, outsourcing can help you maintain that presence without having to think about it every day. That is a big part of why we do what we do. Social media should support your business, not take over your life.
Is social media management worth it for a small wedding business?
It depends on the business, the budget, and what you are hoping to get out of it.
Social media management can absolutely be worth it for a small wedding business when it helps you stay consistent, present your brand professionally, and gives you back time to focus on the work that only you can do. For many business owners, the biggest value is not just the content itself. It is the time and mental space they get back by no longer having to constantly think about what to post.
That said, social media management should not put unnecessary financial strain on your business, and it should not be viewed as a guarantee of more followers or bookings. Social media is one piece of a larger marketing strategy.
How often should a wedding business post on social media?
There is no perfect number when it comes to how often you should post. What matters most is being consistent and sharing quality content that actually represents your business.
For most wedding professionals, we find that three posts per week is a really solid rhythm. It keeps your business visible and active without putting pressure on you to constantly create content just to keep up.
We have seen consistent, steady growth with this approach, which is why it is the posting schedule we use for many of our clients.
More is not always better. If you can post more often without sacrificing the quality of your content, great. But three strong, intentional posts each week can go a long way toward keeping your brand in front of the right people.
Which social media platforms should my wedding business be posting on?
It really depends on your business, but for most wedding professionals there are a few platforms we consider especially important.
Instagram: This is still the big one. The wedding industry is incredibly visual, and Instagram is often one of the first places potential clients go to look at your work, your style, and your overall brand.
Facebook: Still relevant and still worth using. It may not get the same attention it once did, but people are absolutely still there, and it gives your content another place to be seen.
Pinterest: One of our favorites because it can actually drive traffic back to your website. Pins are linkable and can continue getting found long after they are posted, making Pinterest a valuable part of your overall marketing strategy.
Google Business Profile: Not technically a social media platform, but definitely worth including. Keeping it active can support your local SEO and gives potential clients another place to see current content from your business.
After those, it becomes much more dependent on your brand and the type of content you create.
Threads: A nice extra, but not something we consider essential.
LinkedIn: Great for networking and especially useful if you also work with corporate or nonprofit events.
TikTok: This really depends on your brand and content. The platform is very saturated and tends to favor video-first, personality-driven content more than the polished aesthetic imagery commonly used in the wedding industry.
YouTube Shorts: Similar to TikTok. It can be worthwhile if short-form video makes sense for your brand, but it is not a must for every wedding business.
The good news is you do not need to create completely different content for every platform. With the right scheduling tools, you can create strong core content and then adapt and publish it across several platforms pretty easily.
For our clients, we make sure their content is working in more than one place by posting across multiple platforms for added visibility.
Do I need to create Reels to grow my wedding business?
Not necessarily. Reels can be a great way to increase visibility and engagement, but that does not automatically mean they are the best use of your time.
The bigger question is whether they are easy and enjoyable for you to create. If you can put together Reels quickly, you have the right content for them, and they fit naturally into your brand, then they can absolutely be worth including in your strategy.
But Reels are not required to build a strong social media presence that supports your business. They may get more views and engagement than a static post, but that does not always translate into inquiries or bookings.
Social media content is also consumed very quickly. A Reel can take a lot of time to create and then disappear from someone’s attention almost immediately. In many cases, your time may be better spent creating longer-lasting content, like a helpful blog post, that can support your SEO, drive website traffic, and continue working for your business long after it is published.
The goal is not to create Reels because everyone says you should. It is to decide whether the return is worth the time and effort for your specific business.
Do I need to follow trends or use trending audio?
Not at all. Trends and trending audio are not necessary to build an effective social media strategy.
The problem with trends is that they are unpredictable and short-lived. You can spend a lot of time recreating something simply because it is popular and still see very little return from it. More views or engagement also do not necessarily translate into more inquiries or bookings.
For most wedding businesses, consistent, intentional content is going to be far more valuable than constantly chasing whatever happens to be popular that week.
Do I need to be on camera?
No. You do not need to be on camera to build a strong social media presence.
For wedding professionals, there are plenty of ways to create effective content using your work, client images, behind-the-scenes details, educational posts, carousels, and other content that does not require you to constantly show your face.
Being on camera can help people connect with you, but it should never feel like a requirement. If it feels natural and you enjoy it, great. If not, there are plenty of other ways to build trust, showcase your expertise, and stay visible.
The best social media strategy is one that fits your brand and that you can realistically maintain.
Can social media actually bring in wedding clients?
Yes, social media can bring in wedding clients, but we would never recommend counting on it as your main source of bookings.
For most wedding professionals, social media works best as a supporting player in a larger marketing strategy. It helps you stay visible, showcase your work, build trust, and give potential clients another place to get to know your brand.
One of the best ways to improve your chances of being seen by the right people is through strategic tagging. Vendor tags, location tags, and collaborations can help put your content in front of people who are already connected to the local wedding industry. In many cases, you are much more likely to be discovered through another wedding professional in your area than by someone randomly stumbling across your post.
That is why we put so much emphasis on these details for our clients. We handle vendor tagging, location tagging, and collaboration requests as part of our social media management so their content has the best chance of reaching a relevant audience.
What type of social media content works best for a wedding business?
The best social media content is content that clearly represents your business and resonates with the type of client you actually want to attract.
For wedding professionals, that usually starts with sharing the very best images of your work. The content should feel inspirational, aspirational, or immediately relevant to your ideal client. When someone lands on your feed, they should quickly get a sense of who you are, what you do, your style, who you work best with, and what makes your business different.
Cohesiveness matters too. Your content should work together to tell a clear brand story. That does not mean every post has to look exactly the same, but your overall feed should feel intentional and consistent with your brand.
The most important thing is not whether you are posting a Reel, carousel, or static image. It is whether the content is strong, aligned, and giving potential clients a clear reason to remember you.
Why am I posting consistently but not getting more inquiries?
Instagram has changed. It is more saturated, organic reach is lower, and Meta is showing your content to fewer people than it used to.
Because of that, we do not think Instagram should be viewed as your main source of new clients. For most wedding businesses, people may find you somewhere else first, through Google, a referral, a venue, or another vendor, and then head to Instagram to check you out.
That is where your feed becomes incredibly important.
Potential clients are using Instagram to vet your business. They are looking at your work, your style, your consistency, your messaging, and whether your brand feels like the right fit for them.
So if you are posting consistently but not getting a flood of direct inquiries from Instagram, that does not necessarily mean it is not working. Its role has shifted. Social media is now a key part of the bigger marketing picture because it helps build trust and can play a major role in whether someone decides to reach out.
Are likes and followers really important for my business?
Not as much as most business owners think.
Likes, comments, and follower counts can be useful data points, but they are still vanity metrics. They do not tell you the full story, and they definitely do not determine whether your social media is helping your business.
One of the biggest mistakes we see is business owners looking to social media for validation. If a post does not get a lot of likes, it is easy to assume it did not work. But potential clients are often watching quietly. They may never follow you, like a post, or leave a comment, but they are still looking at your feed, reviewing your work, and deciding whether they want to reach out.
That is why we encourage clients to stop obsessing over vanity metrics and focus on the bigger picture. Social media is there to support visibility, build trust, and help potential clients feel confident about your business.
You may not always get the validation you are looking for from likes and followers, but that does not mean your content is not doing its job.
Why is my engagement low even though my content looks good?
Low engagement does not automatically mean your content is bad.
Instagram is more saturated than it used to be, and Meta is showing organic content to fewer people. Even strong, beautiful content may not get the likes, comments, or shares you expect.
It is also important to remember that a lot of potential clients are watching quietly. They may scroll through your feed, look at your work, read your captions, and never interact with a single post. That does not mean they are not paying attention.
Instead of judging your content only by engagement, look at the bigger picture. Is your feed cohesive? Does it clearly represent your brand? Does it show the kind of work you want to book? Does it give potential clients confidence in your business?
Do I need a big following for social media to work?
No. When it comes to social media, quality is much more important than quantity.
A smaller audience made up of the right people can be far more valuable than a huge following full of people who will never hire you, refer you, or engage with your business in a meaningful way.
For wedding professionals, a large portion of your followers may actually be other wedding vendors in your area, and that is a good thing. Those relationships matter. Planners, photographers, venues, florists, DJs, and other professionals can become some of your best referral sources.
So instead of focusing on how many followers you have, focus on who they are. Staying top of mind with the right local vendors and potential clients is far more valuable than chasing a big number.
How long does it take to see results from social media management?
Social media is a long game. While you may notice improvements in consistency, branding, and overall visibility fairly quickly, we usually recommend giving social media management at least three months before judging the results.
In many cases, it can take longer than that. Building visibility, trust, and recognition does not happen overnight, especially in such a saturated industry.
It is also important to look beyond direct inquiries. Social media may be helping potential clients get familiar with your brand, reinforcing referrals, or giving someone the confidence to reach out after finding you somewhere else.
The goal is steady, consistent progress over time, not instant results. Social media works best when it is treated as an ongoing part of your overall marketing strategy.
Can social media help my SEO or Google visibility?
Yes, but mostly in a supporting role.
Social media itself is not a shortcut to higher Google rankings, but it can support your overall search visibility by driving traffic to your website, increasing brand awareness, and creating more opportunities for your content to be discovered and shared.
We also post consistently to our clients’ Google Business Profiles, which is especially important for local visibility. Keeping that profile active with fresh content, images, and accurate information gives Google more signals that your business is current and relevant.
Another big part of our process is optimization. We optimize content not just for social media, but with SEO in mind too, using things like keywords, alt text, file names, location information, and strategic linking where appropriate.
What kind of results should I realistically expect from social media management?
Results can vary quite a bit depending on your business, your starting point, your content, and your audience, so we never promise specific numbers.
That said, across our clients we typically see an average 60 to 80% increase in visibility. We credit much of that to strong post optimization, including things like strategic tagging, location tags, collaborations, keywords, and publishing content consistently across multiple platforms.
Engagement tends to grow much more modestly, usually around 5 to 10%, and we are perfectly comfortable with that. Likes and comments are not the goal. Getting your business in front of more of the right people and creating a strong, consistent presence is far more valuable.
Of course, every account is different and results will vary. But in general, we are looking for steady improvements in visibility, consistency, brand presentation, and staying top of mind with potential clients and other wedding professionals.
Can social media help my business show up in AI search?
Yes. Social media can help your business show up in AI search.
AI tools are pulling information from more places across the web, including publicly available social content. That means your social media presence can become another source of information about your business.
This is why consistency matters. If your website, Google Business Profile, and social media all clearly reinforce what you do, who you serve, where you work, and what makes your business different, it becomes easier for search engines and AI tools to understand your brand.
For our clients, we also optimize social content with search in mind by using relevant keywords, location details, alt text, file names, and clear messaging.
Social media should not be your only AI search strategy, but it can absolutely support your overall visibility.
How involved do I need to be once you manage my social media?
Not very involved at all. Our goal is to take the lead so social media becomes one less thing you have to manage.
We will reach out twice a month. First, before we begin creating your upcoming feed, we will check in to see if there is anything new, seasonal, or specific you would like us to focus on.
Then, once your feed preview is ready, we will send you an email letting you know it is available to review.
You will also have your own dashboard on our website where you can view your feed, review upcoming content, and stay in the loop without having to manage the day-to-day process yourself.
We handle the planning and keep the process moving. You just give us input when there is something important you want us to know.
Will my content still sound like me?
Yes. A big part of our onboarding process is learning your brand, your voice, your audience, and the way you naturally communicate.
We use that information to guide the content we create so it feels aligned with your business instead of sounding generic or like it could belong to anyone.
We also view the first few months as a collaborative learning period. We always welcome feedback, especially in the beginning, because the more we understand what sounds like you, what does not, and how you want your brand to come across, the stronger the content becomes.
Our goal is not to change your voice. It is to learn it well enough that your content still feels like you, even when you are not the one writing every caption
How far in advance do you create and schedule my content?
We create and schedule your content about a month in advance so everything is planned, organized, and ready to go.
The week before your posts are scheduled to go live, we send you an email letting you know your feed preview is ready. You can review everything from your client dashboard and let us know if you would like any changes.
This gives you plenty of visibility into what is coming while still allowing us to take the lead and keep your social media running smoothly.
Is there a long-term commitment?
No. There is no long-term commitment, and you can cancel at any time as long as we have not already created the content for your next posting schedule.
We also understand that sometimes you may need to step away temporarily without starting over. That is why we offer a 60-day freeze option. During that time, we will keep everything in place, including your account setup and current pricing, so you can pick back up where you left off when you are ready.
We want our clients to stay because the service is working for them, not because they are locked into a long-term contract.
What if I’ve never had someone manage my social media before?
That is completely fine. A lot of our clients have never outsourced their social media before, so our process is designed to make the transition as simple and comfortable as possible.
We will guide you through the onboarding process, show you exactly what we need from you, and take the lead from there. You will always be able to review your feed before anything goes live, and we welcome feedback, especially during the first few months while we are learning your brand and preferences.
You are never expected to know how social media management should work before you start. That is our job.
The goal is for you to feel supported and confident handing it off, not nervous about losing control.
Do you respond to comments and messages?
Not with our standard social media management packages. Comment and direct message management are not included in our regular plans.
That said, if you would like us to handle community management as well, we can absolutely build that into a bespoke package based on the level of support you need.
We keep our standard packages focused on content creation, optimization, scheduling, tagging, and collaborations, while giving clients the option to add more hands-on support when it makes sense for their business.
Will my monthly price ever increase?
As long as you remain an active client, your pricing is locked in.
If we ever raise our rates for new clients, your current monthly price will stay the same for as long as your service remains active.
We also honor that pricing during our 60-day freeze period, so if you need to pause temporarily, you can return at the same rate you had before the freeze.
Do you handle vendor tagging and collaborations?
Yes. Vendor tagging and collaborations are an important part of how we help increase visibility for our clients.
We tag the vendors involved in the content, add relevant location tags, and send collaboration requests when appropriate. This helps your posts reach beyond your existing audience and puts your work in front of people who are already connected to the local wedding industry.
It also helps keep your business top of mind with planners, photographers, venues, florists, DJs, and other wedding professionals who can become valuable referral sources.
We handle all of this for you as part of our social media management process.
Do I need professional photos to use your social media management service?
Professional photos are strongly recommended, especially in the wedding industry where your work is so visual, but you do not need a constant stream of brand-new galleries to keep your social media active.
We will guide you on best practices for getting images from photographers, including how and when to request galleries and what information to provide so the process is as easy as possible.
We are also very strategic about repurposing content. One great wedding gallery can give us dozens of posts when the images are carefully selected and used to highlight different details, moments, services, and parts of your brand story.
The goal is not to constantly chase new content. It is to make the most of the strong content you already have and use it in a way that keeps your feed cohesive, current, and representative of your best work.
Do you create the content, or do I need to provide it?
We make the process as easy as possible.
Our client portal gives you one convenient place to send us everything we need. You can upload images directly, share a Google Drive or photographer gallery link, add notes, and include any vendor Instagram handles you want us to use.
From there, we handle the content planning, image curation, caption writing, optimization, scheduling, tagging, and collaborations.
If your package includes educational content, such as our Premium Package, we also create the educational Reels and carousels for you.
The goal is for you to give us the image galleries and information we need, then let us take it from there.
What if I’m nervous that a social media manager won’t understand my brand?
That is a completely valid concern. Your brand is personal, and handing your social media over to someone else can feel a little uncomfortable at first.
A good social media manager should take the time to understand your voice, your audience, your services, your style, and what makes your business different before creating content on your behalf. It should never feel like generic content that could belong to anyone.
At AGA Business Solutions, we spend time learning your brand so the content still feels like you, just without you having to create every post yourself. The goal is not to replace your voice. It is to make sure your voice is showing up consistently and strategically.
Outsourcing should make you feel more supported, not like you are losing control of your brand.
How do I get started?
Getting started is easy.
If you already know which social media management package is right for you, you can choose your package and begin the onboarding process.
If you are not sure which option is the best fit, you can book a Clarity Call with us first. We can talk through your goals, answer your questions, and help you decide which level of support makes the most sense for your business.
What happens if I do not have enough content to post?
You may be surprised by how little content you actually need to get started.
One strong wedding gallery can give us dozens of posts when the images are thoughtfully repurposed. We can pull different moments, details, services, vendor relationships, and parts of your brand story from the same event without making your feed feel repetitive.
You do not need to constantly provide us with brand-new galleries just to keep your social media active. Our job is to make the most of the content you already have and use it strategically.
If your content library is limited, we can also help guide you on what to collect next so you are not scrambling every month trying to find something new to post.
What if I want changes to my content?
Our Signature and Signature Plus packages include limited revisions, which is one of the ways we are able to keep the service streamlined and affordable.
These packages work best for clients who trust our process and feel aligned with our approach to content selection, messaging, and brand voice.
During the first three months, we allow more flexibility with changes while we are learning your preferences and getting a stronger feel for your brand. Feedback during that time is especially helpful and is an important part of the process.
Our Premium and Bespoke packages include one round of unlimited changes, making them a better fit for clients who want more hands-on input or prefer a higher level of control over the final content.
After that initial learning period, if you find that you are still requesting a large number of changes each month, it may simply be a sign that our management style is not the best fit for what you are looking for.
We want the process to feel easy and collaborative, but we also want to be honest about which package will give you the level of involvement and flexibility that feels right for you.
How often do I need to send you new content?
You do not need to send us brand-new content every month.
Because we strategically repurpose your galleries, a relatively small amount of strong content can go a long way. A few weddings can give us plenty of material to work with, especially when we are pulling from different moments, details, vendors, services, and parts of your overall brand story.
We recommend sending new content as you receive strong galleries or have something new that represents the work you want to book more of. There is no need to upload content just for the sake of having something new.
And you do not have to worry about keeping track of when we are running low. We will let you know when it is time to send over more content so it is one less thing you have to think about.
The goal is quality over quantity. We would rather work with a smaller library of beautiful, on-brand images than constantly add content that does not really represent your business.
