Welcome,
Mitze
Thank You for Being Here!
Thank you again for taking the time to meet with me. I’m excited to learn more about how you work and how you approach real-world tasks. The three short assignments below are designed to help me understand your communication style, your attention to detail, and how you follow directions... three of the most important qualities in this role.
There’s no pressure to be perfect. I’m looking for clarity, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.

Please complete all tasks within 48 hours of receiving this link. This helps me keep the hiring process moving and gives me a sense of your responsiveness and turnaround time.

You're welcome to use tools like ChatGPT to help generate ideas or get started, but it's very important that your final work sounds conversational and human... not like it was written by a robot. I’m looking for real, natural-sounding communication that reflects how you’d speak on behalf of a business.

Let’s get started.
Task 1: Create a Short Social Media Video
Objective:
This task will help me assess your ability to follow directions, craft a clear marketing message, and use Canva to create a short and engaging video.

Instructions:
You’ll find a video tutorial below that walks you through the process I use when creating videos like this. Please watch the tutorial first, then complete the task below.

Your Assignment:
-
Imagine you're creating a short social media video for a wedding planner.
-
The topic: “The benefits of hiring a wedding planner for your big day.”
-
Your goal is to create a video that speaks directly to engaged couples. Keep the tone warm, helpful, and informative, not overly formal or salesy.
-
You’re welcome to use ChatGPT to help brainstorm your messaging, as long as the final version feels clear and conversational.
-
When you’re finished, please upload your Canva video file directly using the upload button below.

What I’m Looking For:
-
A clear, engaging message that makes sense for the audience.
-
Visuals and text that feel cohesive, professional, and on-brand.
-
Evidence that you followed the format and approach shown in the tutorial while still making it your own.
Reminder:
My sample video demonstrates the format using a different wedding industry topic. You should not copy the wording or visuals. I want to see how you take a concept and run with it creatively and thoughtfully.
Task 1: Video Tutorial
Task 2: Write a Warm Promo Email
Objective:
This task will help me understand how you communicate in writing, how well you capture tone, and how effectively you can highlight a service in a way that feels human, not salesy.

Instructions:
Using the link below as your reference, write a short promotional email that introduces my social media services in a warm, friendly, and easy-to-read way. The tone should feel like a real person reaching out... relaxed, helpful, and inviting.

Your Email Should:
-
Include an email subject line that grabs attention in a clear, non-clickbait way.
-
Gently introduce what the service is and who it’s for.
-
Highlight the value and why it might be a good fit for small business owners.
-
Include a simple call to action (for example, booking a free consultation or learning more).
-
Match the general tone and style of the webpage, keeping it light, conversational, and real.
-
You’re welcome to use ChatGPT to help brainstorm ideas, organize your thoughts, or polish your wording... just make sure the final message sounds like something a real human would write. I’m not looking for stiff marketing copy or overly polished AI language. Keep it kind, natural, and clear.

When you're finished, please submit your email using the space provided in the form below.
Task 3: Write a Client Email Response
Objective:
This task will help me understand how you write on behalf of someone else, especially when the tone needs to be warm, calming, and professional. You'll be replying to a real-life style of message that requires both empathy and structure.

Scenario:
Your client is a bridal beauty artist who works with brides in the weeks leading up to their wedding day. One of her clients sent the following email:
Hi! I booked you for my wedding in a few weeks, and I just started panicking about my hair. Can I change the style we originally planned? I don’t even know what I want anymore.

Your Client’s Instructions to You:
Please respond with a calm, supportive tone. Reassure the bride that this kind of nervousness is completely normal and that we’re here to help. Let her know we can talk through new ideas during the trial and make adjustments if needed but we’ll need a final decision no later than one week before the wedding to ensure everything runs smoothly. Make sure the message feels warm and reassuring, but still provides clear direction and boundaries.

What to Include:
-
A professional email reply on behalf of the bridal beauty artist.
-
A tone that is kind, calming, and supportive... not robotic or overly formal.
-
A simple structure with a greeting, body, and closing.
-
Language that sounds like a real person, not something copied or overly polished.
-
You are welcome to use ChatGPT to help get started or brainstorm ideas, but please make sure the final message sounds conversational, human, and aligned with the scenario.

When you’re finished, please submit your email in the space provided below.
Please only click submit once... you will be taken to a confirmation page when complete.
